4 Family-Friendly Holiday Decoration Ideas

 4 Family-Friendly Holiday Decoration Ideas

Holiday decorations do not have to be just for one person, grow closer and get the whole family involved. In the grand scheme of things, the overall best decorations for your home are those made with/by the people that you love.

Let’s look at a list of three different interactive holiday crafts to do with your family to improve the festive spirit around your home.

1. Snowflake Project:

No matter what age, I can assure you that most individuals will thrive off of this project. It is a perfect outdoor/winter project to dive into that Christmas spirit.

  1. Take a sheet of paper and fold it in half hamburger style
  2. Get creative with you design by taking a pair of scissors and cutting out shapes desired along the folded crease
  3. Unfold piece of paper to reveal your snowflake
  4. Take the yarn, rope, or string and thread it through the top of your snowflake
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 until satisfied.

Materials Needed:

-10-20 pieces of paper (white or colored)

-Scissors

-One yard of string, yarn or rope

Assembly:

2. Cotton Ball Snowman:

Of course if it is snowing, it is easy to go outside and roll up some snow into three jumbo balls. However, that means that you have to actually leave the warmth of your home. So, keep reading to see how to make the most adorable snowman with the use of actual snow.

Materials Needed:

-Construction Paper (black, orange, and brown)

-Package of white cotton balls

-Pencil

-Glue

-Googly eyes

-Pipe cleaner

-Thin ribbon

Assembly:

  1. With the black construction paper, cut out a hat and three round buttons. Then with the orange paper cut out a skinny triangle to use for the snowman’s nose.

  2. Cut the brown pipe cleaner into two short pieces.

  3. On colored paper, draw three circles stacked on top of one another for the snowman’s body.

  4. Glue cotton balls inside the three circles.

  5. Glue on the hat, googly eyes, and carrot nose to the top circle/snowman’s head.

  6. Add the three black buttons to the middle of the snowman’s body. Glue on the brown pipe cleaner pieces for his arms.

  7. Fold a short piece of red ribbon in half, and glue it to the snowman’s neck for the scarf.

3.The Paper Plate Angel

I got this idea from a website called
